Bill 115 has removed local autonomy and made it extremely difficult for school boards and locals to reach fair and respectful collective agreements. In response to that law, ETFO members gave the federation an overwhelming strike mandate in votes held across the province this past fall.
ETFO's 76,000 members include public elementary teachers, occasional teachers, designated early childhood educators, professional support personnel, and educational support personnel.
