hits the streets of Toronto this Sunday

TORONTO, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Hundreds of walkers are preparing to hit the streets of downtown Toronto for the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life 2010.
The Toronto Walk is one of more than 50 Walks taking place across Canada in support of local AIDS service organizations.
The Toronto Walk raises funds for the health promotion and community education programs at ACT, the AIDS Committee of Toronto. ACT provides services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones, while working to prevent the spread of HIV in our community.
What: Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto 2010
Why: As many as 18,000 people are living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto. One
third of them don't even know it. In Toronto, more people than
ever before are living with HIV/AIDS and two are infected with the
virus every day. There is no cure and no vaccine to prevent new
infections.
Where: Church Street and Alexander Street
When: Sunday, September 19, 2010
11:00am: Registration
1:30pm: Opening Ceremonies and Warm-up hosted by Mike Chalut
2:00pm: The Walk begins
3:30pm: Entertainment and Top Walker announcements
