Media Advisory - Daily Bread heats things up for the Fall Drive

Fall Drive launches with the help of Toronto Fire Services

TORONTO, Sept. 23 /CNW/ -

WHAT: Daily Bread Food Bank launches its annual Fall Drive with a
media conference, reminding Toronto that the need for donations
is on-going and greater than ever. Gail Nyberg will be present
to share the goals of this year's Fall Drive, as well as how and
where the public can donate nutritious non-perishable food.

Last year, there were over a million client visits to food banks
across the GTA, 35% were children. From May to July, Daily
Bread's member agencies saw a 16% increase in client visits
compared to the same period last year. With the effects of the
recession still being felt by families across the city that
number will only continue to increase.
