TORONTO, April 24, 2015 /CNW/ - Conceivable Dreams, The OHIP for IVF Coalition, is pleased with the government's announcement that it will soon be moving forward on its commitment to help the 1 in 6 infertile couples across the province afford their first round of in vitro (IVF) treatments.
Members of Conceivable Dreams - and many families across Ontario - are eagerly anticipating the details of the province's IVF funding plan and the Advisory Panel's recommendations on eligibility criteria and regulations.
The government has established a panel of expert advisors that includes clinicians and patients. The budget confirms the government's earlier pledge that the panel's work will be complete in time for funding to be in place prior to the end of the 2015 calendar year.
Members on hand for comment are current and past patients of IVF treatments, as well as clinicians, and represent a number of communities across the province.
