Media Advisory - Complaints Commission to release report into RCMP in-custody
Death of Robert Dziekanski

VANCOUVER , Dec. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Paul E. Kennedy, Chair of the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP (CPC) will release his report into Robert Dziekanski's in-custody death Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. (Pacific time ) at the Wosk Centre for Dialogue, 580 West Hastings Street, Vancouver .

Mr. Kennedy will have a media statement and be available to answer questions starting at 10:30 a.m. Participating media will be provided with an embargoed copy of the Executive Summary at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Kennedy launched a CPC Chair-initiated complaint into the conduct of RCMP members present at, or engaged in the Vancouver International Airport arrest of Mr. Robert Dziekanski which occurred on October 14, 2007 . The complaint was initiated on November 8, 2007 .

The CPC first became involved in the case when it deployed an independent observer on October 15, 2007 to monitor the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) criminal investigation which followed Mr. Dziekanski 's death.
