Media Advisory - Commissioner Cavoukian to Release Her Final Annual Report at Queen's Park News Conference

TORONTO, June 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Ontario's Information and Privacy Commissioner, Dr. Ann Cavoukian, will hold a news conference tomorrow to release her 2013 Annual Report, shortly before the conclusion of her unprecedented third term.

Copies of the report, news release, and statistical adjunct will be available in hard copy and electronically. The statistical adjunct will contain information regarding compliance rates (speed of response for FOI requests) of individual municipalities, police services, school boards, etc., and other statistics related to a specific region, community or institution type.

Distribution details include:

• A news release will be distributed across Ontario via CNW at 9:30 a.m. on June 17, 2014.
• The Annual Report, news release, and statistical adjunct will be available on the Commissioner's website at 9:30 a.m. (annualreport.ipc.on.ca). This includes the raw data submitted by institutions as well as a list of institutions that did not report statistics.
• Copies of the Annual Report, the news release, and the statistical adjunct will be hand delivered to the Queen's Park Press Gallery at 9:30 a.m. Or, you can email Trell Huether ([email protected]) prior to June 17 to request that the Annual Report documents be emailed directly to you on June 17.
