Media Advisory - Chartered Accountants of Canada Recognize Excellence in
Corporate Reporting

TORONTO , Dec. 3 /CNW/ - The Corporate Reporting Awards are being presented by the Chartered Accountants of Canada at a special ceremony in Toronto on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 .

The program has recognized excellence in financial and corporate reporting in Canada for almost 60 years. The awards are presented annually and reflect the CA profession's commitment to enhancing the quality of financial reporting.

Awards of Excellence for nine industry sectors will be presented. In addition, separate awards and honourable mentions will be given to companies for financial reporting, corporate governance disclosure, electronic disclosure and sustainable development reporting.

Awards of Excellence for large and small federal crown corporations also will be presented.

The 2009 edition of the Corporate Reporting Awards are sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Toronto Stock Exchange.

A copy of the Judges' Comments publication will be distributed following the luncheon ceremony.
