OTTAWA, March 31, 2014 /CNW/ -
Who: Frank Clegg, former president of Microsoft Canada, current CEO, Canadians for Safe Technology (C4ST)
What: A press conference to address the Royal Society of Canada's conflicted and biased review of Safety Code 6.
When: Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:30 a.m.
Where: Charles-Lynch Room on Parliament Hill, Centre Block
Why: On April 1, 2014, the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) will release its review of Safety Code 6, the Health Canada guideline that sets the Canadian exposure limits to electromagnetic radiation from wireless telecommunication devices, including cell towers, smart meters, cell phones, baby monitors, and Wi-Fi.
Throughout the review process, C4ST has revealed conflicted panel members and has uncovered documents that prove Health Canada is controlling the so-called "independent" safety review by the RSC. C4ST is concerned that the RSC has ignored scientific evidence that wireless communication devices should be subject to a much safer Safety Code 6.
C4ST will be available to discuss the report and the panel's findings.
