Media Advisory - Calgary's Global Petroleum Show plays host to energy leaders
at the International Energy Ministers Forum
International delegates converge at the 2010 Global Petroleum Show (GPS) to share visions on the global energy market
CALGARY, June 3 /CNW/ -
WHAT: As part of the 2010 Global Petroleum Show (GPS), one of the
world's largest petroleum events, the International Energy
Ministers Forum will bring together energy leaders from Kuwait,
Qatar, India, Peru and Yemen among others to share their visions
on the current and future state of global energy. Energy
ministers will be invited to discuss their outlooks on
international supply and demand, enhancing recovery and
protecting the environment.
WHO: Alberta International Affairs Minister, the Honourable
Iris Evans, will provide welcoming remarks. Randy Gossen,
President of the World Petroleum Council, will serve as the
Forum's moderator. International Energy Ministers and key
delegates attending the event will each speak for 10 minutes. The
speakers will include:
- Kuwait State Minister - TBA
- His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of State
for Energy & Industry Affairs, State of Qatar
- His Excellency Rasheed Ba Raba'a, Minister of Oil and Mineral
Resources, Republic of Yemen
- Daniel Saba, Chairman of the Board, PERUPETRO S.A., Peru
The International Affairs Minister and Mr. Gossen will be available for media interviews and photo opportunities following the event. There will also be opportunities to speak to the International Ministers and key delegates.
