Media advisory - Assembly of First Nations National Chief to Address Delegates at the AFN National First Nations Infrastructure Conference & Trade Show

OTTAWA, Jan. 31, 2014 /CNW/ - Assembly of First Nations National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo will address delegates at the National First Nations Infrastructure Conference & Trade Show on Monday, February 3, 2014 in Toronto. National Chief Atleo will highlight the key issues and action required to address critical infrastructure issues facing First Nations and the need for a better, sustainable approach for First Nations communities. He will also speak to innovative practices, opportunities and partnerships to build safer, stronger First Nations communities.

AFN National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo will deliver opening remarks to delegates on Monday at approximately 9:45 a.m. in the Metropolitan Ballroom Center/East. National Chief Atleo will be available to speak to media following his remarks.

Highlights of the AFN National First Nations Infrastructure Conference include more than 40 workshops on a wide range of key topics including First Nations housing, infrastructure, alternative financing options and water.

The Honourable Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario will address the delegates on Monday, February 3 from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m.

There is no cost for accredited media to attend the Conference but registration is required.  Media are invited to register on-site.  Registration opens at 7:45 a.m., Monday, February 3.
