Media Advisory - A Solution to Canada's Resource Transportation Deadlock - Media Conference
CALGARY, June 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada is locked in a stalemate that is hurting our economy and holding us back. Canada has resources, renewable and non-renewable, that need to get to market. We need to get those products not just to traditional markets, but new ones – and that means access to tidewater ports. But it has proven remarkably difficult to assign routes for pipelines, rail and other transport modes, because stakeholders of all kinds fear the implications of these transport lines as they are currently proposed.
What if there was a solution?
Media are invited to join Prof. Jack Mintz, Director of The School of Public Policy, Claude Montmarquette, President and CEO of CIRANO, and Andrei Sulzenko at a media conference where a solution will be proposed. The proposal will be of national import, and of interest across all regions.
