MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 11 /CNW/ - Heavy snow has delayed the Holiday Train near Hastings MN.  As a result of the delay, all three remaining shows today in Cottage Grove, St. Paul - Lowertown and Minneapolis - Shoreham have been cancelled.

The Holiday Train team asks residents of the Twin Cities to please give generously to their local food pantries and food shelves this Holiday Season.

About the Holiday Train:

The Holiday Train is a freight train covered in hundreds of thousands bright lights. At 140 stops across Canada and United States, Canadian Pacific provides a box car stage, a line up of great musical talent and a corporate contribution to the local food bank. Food banks provide collection bins for non-perishable food. Communities, in turn, donate food and funds, all of which stays in the community. The Holiday Train has raised over $4.8 million and 2.3 million pounds of food. Full schedules and background information are available at by clicking on the Holiday Train. People can join the Holiday Train on Facebook and follow the spirit of one of the longest-running cross-country food bank fundraisers on Twitter: @CPHolidaytrain.
