TORONTO, April 4, 2013 /CNW/ - In an unprecedented act of unity, senior and distinguished leaders from diverse religious traditions, representing over 250 faith leaders, will be available Thursday, April 4 at 12:40 p.m. at City Hall to speak to their Interfaith Statement Opposing Casino Expansion in the Greater Toronto Area.
The faith leaders are urging Toronto City Councillors and GTA Councillors to vote against accepting any new casinos. This is the first ever major statement signed by leaders across the religious spectrum in the GTA on a public policy issue.
