RICHMOND, B.C., Feb. 1, 2012 /CNW/ - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today it has signed a contract for US$1.8 million as part of its Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement with the U.S. Air Force (USAF). MDA will provide three years of operational support for the fielded versions of the flight path safety system delivered by MDA to the USAF in 2004, and initiate the upgrade in capability to maintain the currency of the system with the continuously evolving regulation standards. The contract includes options for an additional two years.
