Mayor John Tory Proclaims December 18-25, 2017 "Salvation Army Week" in Toronto

TORONTO, Dec. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., on behalf of Toronto City Council, Mayor John Tory proclaims December 18-25, 2017 as "Salvation Army Week" in the City of Toronto.
The Salvation Army will raise their flag at the Courtesy Flag Pole at Toronto City Hall at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017. Territorial Public Relations and Development Secretary, Major John P. Murray will be on hand to proclaim Salvation Army Week and available for interviews with the media.
With a Christmas Kettle goal of $3 million in the Greater Toronto Area, Mayor John Tory encourages everyone to support The Salvation Army as they continue to assist vulnerable individuals and families throughout the holiday season.
"The Salvation Army is grateful for those who continue to support our Christmas campaign," says Major John. P Murray, Territorial Public Relations and Development Secretary. "Funds received from Christmas Kettles stay local and assist those marginalized and overlooked in the community.
