GREATER TORONTO, April 28, 2014 /CNW/ - Mattamy Homes was named the BILD Awards' Home Builder of the Year for a record fifth time.
The builder was presented with the award at the 34th annual BILD Awards, which recognizes and celebrates excellence within the building and development industry.
This award highlights the builder who sets the standard for the rest of the industry by their leadership in improving the overall image of building and development. A key component of the judging process is a customer satisfaction survey completed by recent occupants of the builder's communities.
The builder first won this award in 2001, 2007, 2009 and 2011.
"Mattamy continues to set incredibly high standards for itself and the rest of our industry," said Bryan Tuckey, BILD President and CEO. "Winning this award once is a remarkable achievement for a builder. But to be named BILD builder of the year for a fifth time is simply extraordinary."
Mattamy Homes has built more than 60,000 homes in hundreds of communities in the GTA, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and across the United States.
The firm's commitment to homeowner satisfaction is an important part of the company ethos. The company takes pride in keeping close contact with homebuyers long after they move into a Mattamy home. The company also organizes many neighbourhood events for residents throughout the year, including summer barbecues, winter tree lightings and spring flower plantings.
The continuing focus of Mattamy Homes is to create designs for all needs from high-end executive homes to townhomes that offer first-time affordability. Also, as a developer and builder of new communities, they constantly search for ways to lessen their ecological impact through natural community design and more energy-efficient building techniques and products.
Congratulations to Mattamy Homes, as well as the other nominees: Monarch Corporation, Tridel Corporation and Great Gulf Homes.
