GREATER TORONTO, April 27, 2015 /CNW/ - Mattamy Homes was crowned Home Builder of the Year for the second consecutive time at the 35th annual BILD Awards on April 24.
The Home Builder of the Year award recognizes the builder who sets the standard for the rest of the industry by their leadership in improving the overall image of building and development in the GTA. Each nominee is required to submit a list of 75 recent home occupants who are asked to submit a customer satisfaction survey – a key component in this category's judging process.
This is the sixth time that Mattamy has received this award, having previously captured the honours in 2001, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2014.
"The continued satisfaction of Mattamy's home purchasers is a true testament to the quality of the communities they create across the GTA," said BILD president and CEO Bryan Tuckey.
All Mattamy Homes in the GTA are Energy Star for New Homes Qualified and reflect the build quality, airtightness and insulation values required to reach this goal, which is approximately 20 per cent more efficient than a home built to the Ontario Building Code.
The builder is actively involved in the communities it creates, contributing millions of dollars to various charities while creating a number of its own local initiatives. Mattamy leaders are also active in the industry as speakers, commentators and important voices.
"Thank you for your commitment to the industry and the association," Tuckey said. "While the award you hold in your hand says Home Builder of the Year, you are much more than that. You are a city builder, and for that we thank you."
Congratulations to Mattamy Homes, as well as the other nominees: Empire Communities, Great Gulf Homes and Tribute Communities.
