Marc Bibeau's statement

MONTREAL, Sept. 9, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Marc Bibeau categorically denies the testimony given today by Georges Dick at the Charbonneau Commission, who made false and defamatory allegations concerning him. Mr. Bibeau has never represented himself as holding government office, has never had a government business card, has never used a government limousine and has never promised any benefit of any kind to anyone in return for a political donation, let alone threatened someone that they would lose a benefit if they made no political donation.

During his testimony, Mr. Dick claimed to be surprised by the illogical speech given by Mr. Bibeau during a meeting held at Mr. Dick's office in 2002. This is because the speech was never made. Moreover, Mr. Dick himself confirmed that there was never any follow up to the speech allegedly made by Mr. Bibeau, including in regard to his firm's contracts with Hydro-Québec.

Mr. Dick claims Mr. Bibeau would have held this speech to him in 2002, yet he still sought to meet Mr. Bibeau on several occasions, even at Mr. Bibeau's own house, after the alleged meeting of 2002.  This simply defies credibility.
