More than 1,000 people attend HR Mode 2017
MONTRÉAL, March 22, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Apparel Connexion, in collaboration with the Comité sectoriel de main-d'œuvre de l'industrie textile du Québec (CSMO Textile) and the Metropolitan Fashion Cluster, mmode, has kicked off the 2nd edition of the industry's biggest recruitment event, HR Mode 2017 (www.rhmodeconnexion.com). More than 1,000 people gathered today at the Palais des congrès for this unique event.

HR Mode 2017, which is taking place at the same time as the Hop! The Summit on Retail event organized by the Conseil québécois du commerce de détail, aims to promote the many stimulating jobs available in the fashion, apparel and textile sectors. This event is a great opportunity for people looking for a new challenge to meet motivated and dynamic employers. With imminent retirements and the creation of new positions, the industry is looking for many talents, including some to fill shortages in specialized manpower. More than 100 positions are currently vacant and many more will need to be filled in the coming years.
Looking for new talent
Multidisciplinary jobs are currently available such as designers, samplers, e-commerce and marketing specialists, production supervisors and operators, logistics and quality experts, buyers, patternmakers, industrial sewing machine operators, analysts-programmers and managers.
In addition to training programs offered by educational institutions specializing in the field, companies also provide tailor-made training to enable employees to develop the expertise and skills needed to perform more technical and specialized tasks.

HR Mode 2017 offers a variety of interesting jobs, on-site interviews, professional networking, specialized mentoring, innovative and interactive activities, and much more! Free workshops are also being offered to participants, including how to use social networks to look for employment, preparing for an interview, entrepreneurship and the textile industry.
