TORONTO, Nov. 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada Company will strengthen its innovative Military Employment Transition (MET) Program after receiving a $50,000 donation from Manulife.
The Military Employment Transition (MET) Program helps build stronger connections between Veterans, business and defence leaders at all levels through awareness, education and exchange programs. Since its inception, the MET Program has helped 1,200 veterans find jobs.

"Thanks to the generous contributions from companies like Manulife, we'll be able to connect even more highly-skilled veterans with top corporations in Canada. "
Canada Company's innovative MET program leverages their unparalleled expertise in employment transitioning to connect Military Veterans, and their spouses with the Canadian business community. Other Canada Company initiatives that connect the Canadian business community to the Canadian military include: the Strategic Knowledge Exchange, the National Transition Symposium and the Canada Company Scholarship Foundation.

To commemorate Veterans' Week, 11,800 Canadian flags have been planted on the front lawn of Manulife's global headquarters in Toronto to honour more than 118,000 members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have fallen in service to Canada during wartime and on peacekeeping missions. The flag garden will remain on display until Wednesday, November 11.
