WATERLOO, ON, May 12, 2016 /CNW/ - Manulife today announced that its employees have raised more than $50,000 that has been matched by Manulife for a total of over $100,000. Manulife has also increased its original $50,000 donation to $100,000, bringing the total contribution to more than $200,000 to assist with wildfire relief and recovery efforts in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Manulife Bank will defer mortgage payments for a period of time and if needed, customers can access money invested in GICs without being charged an early-redemption penalty.
Manulife Group Benefits employers may be eligible for delayed payments on benefit premiums, and their employees can have refill prescriptions processed early.
Where permitted by the plan, Manulife Group Retirement customers from Fort McMurray and surrounding area impacted by the wildfire can make withdrawal requests. Manulife will also waive withdrawal fees for customers (where their group retirement plan and legislation allows).
Manulife insurance and individual investment customers will receive assistance with expedited access to funds or an extension of payment terms. We can work with customers who have questions or concerns about their investments or insurance applications.
