Mandy Rennehan Donates Luxury Short-Term Rental Property to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, Creating a New Model for Supporting Addiction, Homelessness and Poverty
Souls Harbour South will create meaningful opportunities for people rebuilding their lives in the local area
YARMOUTH, NS, Sept. 23, 2026 /CNW/ -- Mandy Rennehan, entrepreneur, philanthropist and Founder and CEO of Freshco (not the grocery store), is donating her six-unit luxury waterfront short-term rental property in her hometown of Yarmouth to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.
Previously known as Rennesouth, the property will now be called Souls Harbour South. The revenue generated from guest stays will directly support the organization, which offers emergency help and recovery programs to people experiencing poverty, homelessness, and addiction. Participants in Souls Harbour programs will also help operate and maintain the property, creating opportunities to gain meaningful work experience, develop new skills and build greater independence. Rooms will start at $450/night CAD and the link to book will be shared on the Souls Harbour South Instagram channel in the coming days.
Rather than make a one-time financial contribution to Souls Harbour, Rennehan saw an opportunity to give the organization an asset that would provide a sustainable source of revenue, while opening new doors for the people it serves.
"Yarmouth made me who I am, so this one hits close to home," says Rennehan. "I wanted to create something that gives people another reason to visit, experience how special this place is and, at the same time, contribute meaningfully. Not everyone can write a big cheque to a charity, but a lot of people can book a weekend away. Here, that weekend can help someone rebuild their life. There's something pretty powerful about that."

Situated in Yarmouth's historic waterfront harbour area, accommodations overlook Yarmouth Harbour, with three of the units previously featured on Rennehan's television series, Trading Up with Mandy Rennehan. Meticulously restored by Rennehan, who is known for her uncompromising approach to luxury, the spaces are designed to feel like "walking into a magazine." They pair East Coast character and coastal charm with exceptional details and finishes – from marble tile and exposed brick to designer fixtures, crystal glassware, chef-worthy kitchens and many other modern conveniences.
Each unit has its own distinct identity: The Courier Rooms, housed in a former post office, preserves original details including the glass Postmaster's door; The Parisian Harbour brings an elevated European sensibility to coastal living; The Merchant Quarters pays homage to the building's history as a hub for shopkeepers trading goods from around the world; and The Port Loft offers ship-inspired "port hole" windows that invite you to gaze out to the Atlantic ocean. The properties have been booked consistently as Rennesouth for the past three years, proving there is an appetite for a truly elevated way to experience Yarmouth.
Guests will enjoy amenities including fresh linens, plush robes and towels, private outdoor spaces and a shared fire pit area, while having the opportunity to experience Yarmouth's harbour, local shops, and restaurants.
