Maisons Pépin received the Builder of the Year Award from the APCHQ- Metropolitan Montreal at the Domus Annual Gala Français
MONTREAL, March 7, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Maisons Pépin has been awarded the most coveted award of the Domus annual contest, organized by the Association Provinciale des Constructeurs d'Habitations du Québec (APCHQ). The award presented on February the 18th at the gala evening hosted by Charles Lafortune and Paul Houde, recognizes the exceptional personality of this South Shore of Montreal contractor.
The Domus Contest
Since the creation of this competition in 1984, the stated goal of the Association was to highlight the excellent outstanding work of members of the industry in the Montreal region. The Domus trophy pays tribute to professional builders who demonstrate remarkable qualities of entrepreneurs, innovators and developers of high quality residential projects. Presented annually by an independent jury of experts from different field of expertise (architects, engineers, etc.) and various organizations (for example CMHC), the Domus award is raising the bar of quality level from one edition to the other, and at the same time, brings the industry together to improve work methods. It also contributes to enhance the industry's image, which has been tarnished over the last year.
An Exceptional Contractor
Maisons Pépin is a young construction company, but it relies on the expertise of Michel Pépin, engineer and seasoned manager who has made customer service the cornerstone of his business. The Maisons Pépin's signature stands out by elements such as refreshing architecture, outstanding attention to details and sought designed furnishing plans. A winning recipe, judging from highly satisfied customers and annual sales of the company, which now total more than $25 million.
A Promising Start
Maisons Pépin entered the world of Domus award in 2009, receiving five nominations and two awards: Construction unifamiliale de plus de 350 000 $ et de moins de 750 000 $ and Projet résidentiel de l'année. At its second presence in 2010, the builder was a finalist in five categories, one of them being the most prestigious - Constructeur de l'année. The company finally walked away with the Construction unifamiliale de 225 000 $ et moins trophy and a strong will to have its work recognized in the next edition. The variety of houses subject to competition this year as well as their uniqueness, is a strong testimony of the creativity and the financial health of the company.
The entrepreneur has numerous projects: le Boisé du parc à Boucherville, Les Jardins Anne-le-Seigneur à Chambly, le Quartier de la Promenade à Saint-Bruno and le Terroir Saint-Hubert in Saint-Hubert, to name a few. Cottages, bungalows, condos, single or twin family homes, these projects offer homes tailored to the South Shore of Montreal clients needs.
Ultimately, through its exceptional building craftsmanship, its analysis and management tools, its active listening and openness, Maisons Pépin has rapidly reached its status among the best in the industry. This award from the APCHQ- Metropolitan Montreal is even more flattering as it is given by peers, in an industry where actors are numerous and competition is fierce.
