Lyrtech closes $1 million development and manufacturing contract
Lyrtech to design and manufacture a new controller board for industrial applications
QUEBEC CITY, Sept. 21 /CNW Telbec/ - Lyrtech Inc. (Lyrtech) (TSX Venture Exchange: LTK), a worldwide leader in digital signal processing technologies, announced today a new manufacturing contract for a controller board for industrial applications.
This contract follows a previously signed agreement, for which Lyrtech is currently developing a CPU board to be used as the controller for an industrial monitoring system. Through a redundancy system of two, it will be possible to maintain fully functional systems despite failure from one of the boards. The CPU board will also incorporate a sophisticated monitoring system that will report on the complete system's health and controller board failures. The project also involves designing a new I/O board for the monitoring system.
The boards' development and manufacturing are worth approximately CA$1,030,000 and are to be delivered over the next six months. This contract also paves the way for more manufacturing over the next several years.
"This is an incredible opportunity to expand our presence in this area of the industrial market-I'm certain that our experience and know-how will help us carve a greater place in it," said Louis Bélanger, president of Lyrtech.
