Lushan Mountain Increases Investment in Infrastructure, with Tourist Satisfaction Improving
LUSHAN MOUNTAIN, China, March 22, 2012 /CNW/ - The results of the "Resort Experience Poll"*, a survey undertaken as part of Sina Finance's "Online 3.15" project examining consumer rights activism, released on March 15th, 2012, revealed that Lushan Mountain won high scores in four key indicators including guide services, ticketing services, infrastructure and surrounding environment, and ranked 7th among the 25 destination candidates. In addition, Lushan Mountain was selected as one of the "20 Most Attractive In-Country Scenic Spots" in the "2011 Most Popular Destinations Analysis Report" jointly released by Tuniu.com* and the International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA).
Lushan Mountain, having received designations as both a World Natural Heritage site and a World Geopark, has, for several years, been advocating a "people oriented" management style and closely adhering to its motto of "tourists' satisfaction is our greatest happiness", and the survey results shows that the approach has clearly paid off. The destination continues to increase investment in infrastructure and aggressively upgrade service quality. As a result, it saw a significant improvement in customer satisfaction, and has not received a single major complaint for several consecutive years.
In 2009, Lushan Mountain's tourist vehicles were formally put into service. The more than 110 vehicles at an expense exceeding RMB50 million (approx. US$8 million) greatly enhance the sightseeing experience for visitors.
Furthermore, Lushan Mountain invested approximately RMB400 million (US$63 million) to establish the Nanshan Gate interchange centre in Tongyuan and the Beishan Gate interchange centre in Weijia in 2010. The fast, convenient and intelligent ticket selling and checking system vastly reduces ticket-buying time so tourists can spend more time taking in the experience and less time waiting in lines.
In 2011, the RMB40+ million Lushan Five Religions Blessing Cultural Park bringing together Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism and other Christian faiths was formally opened to the public.
Several five-star hotels including Mountain Lushan International Villa & Resort have opened at the resort since 2009, bring top quality hospitality services to the world-known destination.
