Lumen IQ™ Street Light Control System to be Used on Trans Canada
Highway Project
VICTORIA, Oct. 27 /CNW/ - Streetlight Intelligence Inc. ("SLQ" or "the Company") is pleased to report that it has received a purchase order for the Company's Lumen IQ™ Adaptive Street Light Management System for use in the Highway One expansion portion of the Gateway development project within the Trans Canada Highway corridor through greater Vancouver.
This new purchase order is a result of the field trials undertaken by the British Columbia Ministry of Transport ("BCMOT") at a highway rest-stop location in the province and a recent installation at the Francois Lake ferry terminal. The new system is comprised of approximately 130 Lumen IQ™ lamp controllers which will be fitted into high-pressure sodium ("HPS") street light fixtures, and it is scheduled for installation in 2011 as part of the Highway 1 Expansion Gateway Program.
"We are very pleased that the BCMOT has embraced adaptive street lighting such as our Lumen IQ™ system as evidenced by the decision to make it a part of the Gateway Program," states Vince Krynski, SLQ's Chief Executive Officer. "We look forward to showcasing our products on this key roadway and we hope to be the adaptive street lighting supplier of choice on future British Columbia highway projects."
