CALGARY, Alberta, July 31, 2013 /CNW/ - LoneStar Geophysical Canada, a sister company to the U.S.-based LoneStar Geophysical Surveys and a leading provider of onshore seismic data acquisition services in North America, announced today a strategic alliance with Wireless Seismic, Inc. headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas. The alliance plans to help alleviate the increasing seismic acquisition backlog throughout the northern regions of Canada during the 2013-2014 winter seasons.
In preparation for these large-scale seismic programs, LoneStar will be testing the RT System 2 real-time data capabilities in compromising temperatures and unyielding terrain conditions. "We are very pleased with this opportunity to collaborate with Wireless Seismic in testing RT System 2 and its technological advancements and rugged durability in the harsh conditions where we do business," stated Heath P. Harris, CEO and President of LoneStar Geophysical Canada.
"We are delighted to have been selected by LoneStar to demonstrate our wireless recording technology under very challenging field conditions," stated Roy Kligfield, CEO of Wireless Seismic. "RT System 2 is specifically designed to operate cable-free in harsh environments, while permitting the contractor to transmit and view all of the seismic data in real time, not just the QC parameters."
