L'Ordre des CGA du Québec is delighted by the approval of the Regulation
respecting public accountancy permit
With the approval of the regulation, the Ordre will be able to issue its first public accountancy permits to members who satisfy the prescribed professional requirements. This permit is necessary for CGAs who wish to practice public accounting and extend their area of expertise to auditing financial statements for all kinds of companies in the public, para-public and private sector.
"We are glad this new regulation was approved. It will benefit not only CGA members but also companies. They will now have access to a larger number of accountants qualified to provide assurance services for financial reporting, benefiting both the business community and the general public," noted the Chairman of the CGA-Québec Board of Directors,
"I would like to pay tribute to the hard work by the members of the Board of Directors and the staff as well as each of the Ordre's past presidents, who have worked to bring this project to today's positive conclusion,"
On the Ordre's Web site, its members can obtain all necessary information and the documents to complete and submit to the Ordre to obtain their public accountancy permit. A committee of experts has been established by the Ordre to assess the records of candidates and respond quickly to all applications.
