Local Company Offering Free Storage for Hospitals and Discounts for Essential Workers
BigSteelBox is providing free storage container rentals to hospitals and medical support organizations, and discounted moving and storage services to essential workers during Covid-19
KELOWNA, BC, April 15, 2020 /CNW/ - Canadian moving and storage company, BigSteelBox, is already supporting organizations like SafeCare BC by providing free mobile storage during their Operation Protect donation drive to collect personal protective equipment (PPE) for hospitals, and long-term care and assisted living facilities, but they're looking for more opportunities to help.
With locations in many major cities in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario, BigSteelBox is able to respond quickly when a safe and secure storage option is needed. They are hoping hospitals and medical support organizations will take advantage of their services during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
"We just want to do what we can to support essential services and workers during this time, so we want to let them know that we're to help if they need moving or storage services," says Brian Hawkins, Director of Operations at BigSteelBox.
"Many communities are working hard to collect donations of PPE, and with those types of donation drives, there's a need for secure storage. We want organizations to know we're here to help where we can."
BigSteelBox is offering up to five 20-foot storage container rentals to hospitals for up to three months, free of charge. They're also offering discounted moving and storage rates to essential service workers.
"We're encouraging hospitals and organizations working to support hospitals to contact us if they need storage, but we also want to support our essential service workers and their families if they are in need moving or storage services right now," continues Hawkins.
"Our team at BigSteelBox appreciates everything our frontline workers are doing to keep us going through this difficult time, so helping make their move or need for storage a little more affordable and less stressful is the least we can do. We hope they will reach out to us."
