The new agreement encompasses films that commence principal photography after January 1, 2016.

Lionsgate's partnership with Metropolitan encompasses a muscular portfolio of eagerly-anticipated blockbuster franchises, potential tent-poles and star-driven event films, including: Denis Villeneuve's critically acclaimed revenge thriller and Cannes Film Festival sensation Sicario; The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, the final chapter of one of the most successful film franchises of all time; the first live-action Saban's Power Rangers film; the epic fantasy adventure, The Odyssey, directed by Francis Lawrence and reuniting The Hunger Games creative team; and The Kingkiller Chronicle, a recently announced multiplatform property based on the worldwide, bestselling fantasy series of books.
