TORONTO, Feb. 13, 2015 /CNW/ - On March 11, JUNO Award winning artist, Lights is mixing it up with Menchie's Frozen Yogurt to raise some dough "money" to support MusiCounts, a charity that puts musical instruments into the hands of Canadian kids that need them most.
Inspired by Lights, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt has created a new frozen yogurt flavour called "Up We Dough," a cookie dough flavour that was created for Lights in recognition of her hit single "Up We Go."
On March 11, Lights is inviting all Canadians to visit your local Menchie's Frozen Yogurt store to enjoy some "Up We Dough" frozen yogurt. On that day, 20% of all yogurt sales from all Menchie's locations across Canada will be donated to MusiCounts, a Canadian charity that supports music education in Canada by supplying instruments to kids who otherwise may not have the opportunity.
Lights is thrilled to be part of this event and at 5:00pm on March 11, Lights will be making a special appearance at Menchie's, 865 York Mills Rd, Unit 7, Toronto, Ontario. She will greet guests, take photos and sign autographs. Menchie's Frozen Yogurt mission statement is "We Make You Smile." Menchie's is very proud to be supporting MusiCounts. With the help of Lights, many Canadian children will gain access to music education and the many benefits that come with it. By giving these children the chance to develop their musical talents, Lights and Menchie's are fulfilling the mission of creating smiles and happiness.
Lights' flavour, "Up We Dough" will be available in all Menchie's locations across Canada starting February 11th and will be available for several weeks.
