As lead sponsor, LG challenges eight renowned YouTubers to create #LGnofilter films with the LG G4
TORONTO, Oct. 23, 2015 /CNW/ - Buffer Festival Powered by LG, the premiere international film festival celebrating YouTube creators, convenes in downtown Toronto, October 23 to 25, 2015. The festival, which draws internationally renowned YouTube creators, fans and influencers is made possible this year through the support of lead sponsor, LG Electronics Canada.
The latest LG smartphone, the LG G4 is front and centre in the celebration of YouTube talent showcased at Buffer Festival which is also the launch pad for #LGnofilter initiative. #LGnofilter places the LG G4 in the hands of a select group of innovative YouTubers who will use LG smartphone technology to produce short, one to five minute films about what it means to live with no filter. The films will be premiered at Buffer Festival and featured as part of a larger, national campaign that asks Canadians to share their #LGnofilter moments in celebration of their unique perspectives.
"YouTube is a great example of the vast talent that lives and works outside of the traditional entertainment world," says Eunice Lee, Brand Manager, Mobile Communications, LG Canada. "We love what these creators are doing and want to support innovation in this space. They are real people, living in the real world, conveying their own unique perspectives on relevant and trending topics that people care about. A key part of what YouTubers do revolves around smartphones and the LG G4 is the perfect choice to capture these moments and offer the flexibility to express themselves with the best technology."
The #LGnofilter team of YouTubers consists of:
- Akilah Hughes of It's Akilah Obviously
- Andrew Huang of Andrew Huang
- Craig Benzine of Wheezy Waiter
- Jack Douglass of JacksFilms
- Matthew Santoro of Matthew Santoro
- Nadine Sykora of Hey Nadine
- Shawna Howson of Nanalew
- Tim Kellner of Tim to the Wild
