LG Grand Prix Festival on Crescent St, a roaring success despite student protests

MONTREAL, June 12, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The 13thedition of the LG Grand Prix Festival on Crescent St. attracted amazing crowds all three days and generated close to record sales for the bars and restaurants during the Grand Prix weekend, despite the various student protests in the downtown core.  At no time during the three days of the Festival did the demonstrators get within the Festival site itself. The close to 500,000 festival goers that visited Crescent Street enjoyed the kiosks and activities that were offered on site and had a great party to the sound of the various artists and DJs performing on the Bud Light stage every night.

The promoter and the Crescent Street Merchants Association wish to express their sincere thanks to the SPVM for their outstanding job in keeping the street safe. Their patience and their professionalism prevented incidents on de Maisonneuve Blvd, and protected all who attended the LG Grand Prix Festival on Crescent St.
