Learn to Skate at brand new, state-of-the-art ice facility at historic former Maple Leaf Gardens!
Central Toronto Skating Club expands its programming this fall with second location at the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens
TORONTO, Aug. 27, 2012 /CNW/ - With a new skating season just around the corner, Central Toronto Skating Club is thrilled to announce the expansion of our programming to include a second location at the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the former Maple Leaf Gardens.
Starting mid September, Central Toronto Skating Club will offer two back-to-back CanSkate sessions on Saturday mornings for both kids (ages 3 and up) and adults wanting to develop and hone their skating skills. It's an opportunity to learn from the pros at your own pace in a beautiful new facility that's the only one of the Original Six NHL arenas to still have ice.
"We know there will be lots of hockey dads and moms who will be thrilled to watch their little ones learn to skate under the original Gardens roof where so many Stanley Cups have been won," said Matt Solarski, Skating Director of Central Toronto Skating Club.
CanSkate is Canada's only certified learn-to-skate program and is designed for beginners of all ages. It provides a healthy and happy activity for Canadian families.
Registration for all of Central Toronto Skating Club's CanSkate programs, including those at the Mattamy Athletic Center at the former Maple Leaf Gardens, will take place on Wednesday September 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moss Park Arena (40 Sherbourne Street).
Central Toronto Skating Club has operated out of Moss Park Arena, serving the Moss Park community and surrounding neighbourhoods of Regent Park, Cabbage Town, Riverdale, Leslieville and Rosedale for almost two decades. The club has developed a reputation for offering a fun, affordable, high-quality program with some of the highest level skating coaches in Canada.
"Demand for all of our skating programs at our Moss Park location has grown steadily over the past couple of years. Last fall, our CanSkate program sold out in two hours!" said Solarski. "Our second location allows us to fill the demand on one of the most exciting new ice surfaces in Canada."
