LANGLEY, BC, Feb. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - LeaderImpact is pleased to announce that it has appointed Garth Jestley as National Director responsible for all LeaderImpact operations within Canada and internationally. LeaderImpact is a not-for-profit organization that helps leaders, particularly CEOs and other senior executives, to experience a greater sense of purpose and fulfilment through faith in God.
With over 40 years experience in various areas of the financial services sector, Jestley has held many senior roles, most recently with the Middlefield Group, where he served for many years as CEO and President of Middlefield Capital Corporation. His various responsibilities at Middlefield over the years included oversight of the venture capital, investment banking and investment management businesses as well as the firm's international operations. Prior to joining Middlefield in 1985, Jestley served as Vice President Project Financing at Bank of Montreal, Vice President Corporate Banking at Citibank, and Senior Investment Analyst at Prudential Insurance Company of America.
Jestley's greatest passion is rooted in something far deeper than professional success. "I have a strong desire to introduce large numbers of senior marketplace leaders to the relevance of faith in God in all aspects of their lives," he says. "Having worked in industry for decades, I know many of the concerns, questions, challenges and stresses that senior executives face. It is exciting to be involved in a successful organization that offers compelling answers to life's most meaningful questions and strong hope for the future."
Jestley succeeds Nathan Hildebrandt, who stepped down in June 2013 after 13 years overseeing the organization.
LeaderImpact is a division of Power to Change, headquartered in Langley, BC, and is active in two dozen cities across Canada as well as Mexico, Panama, and Colombia. Its vision includes expanding its operations significantly over the next several years both within Canada and internationally including initiating operations in many other countries not currently served. The LeaderImpact programs seek to engage the whole person, treating the spiritual aspects of life as central to professional and personal development. The core component of LeaderImpact programs is small, ongoing weekly meetings facilitated by volunteer marketplace leaders.
