VANCOUVER, May 9, 2012 /CNW/ - Lakeland Resources Inc. (TSXv: LK) (the "Company" or "Lakeland") announces a non brokered private placement financing of up to 2,500,000 units (the "Units") of the Company at a price of $0.08 per Unit for gross proceeds of $200,000. Each Unit will consist of one common share and one common share purchase warrant ("Warrant"). Each Warrant will be exercisable for one common share at $0.15 for a period of 12 months from closing.
The Company also announces a private placement financing of up to 3,000,000 flow-through units (the "Units") of the Company at a price of $0.10 per unit for gross proceeds of $300,000. Each Unit will consist of one flow-through common share and one common share purchase warrant ("Warrant"). Each Warrant will be exercisable for one common share at $0.15 for a period of 12 months from closing.
The private placements remain subject to the final acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSXv") and finder´s fees may be payable in accordance with the policies of the TSXv. The securities issued will be subject to a four-month hold period.
The proceeds from the private placement offering will be used for general working capital and mineral exploration on the Company´s properties.
