QUEBEC CITY, Oct. 19, 2016 /CNW/ - Today, Gestion Éric Savard, led by La Vue president Éric Savard, unveiled an important partnership: The group has merged with Laurier Optical, a banner founded in Ottawa in 1985. As part of this recent amalgamation, the La Vue group grew to include 35 new locations, including 12 in greater Montreal and 23 in Ontario, tripling its clinics. This is a superb entry into a neighboring province for the La Vue group, which, until just recently, operated solely in Quebec.
This new partnership boosts the number of clinics Éric Savard owns from 17 to 52. In addition to the roughly 100 Laurier Optical employees now in Gestion Éric Savard's employ and the 150 La Vue employees, the group expects to create 100 new jobs in line with this expansion. Since spring, the Gestion Éric Savard family has also included the extensive Cité Optique group, consisting of four ophthalmologists, seven optometrists, seven opticians, and expertise in corneal lenses that is unique in Quebec. At present, no Quebec optometrist has as many optometry clinics as Dr. Éric Savard. This transaction makes the La Vue group one of the largest players in the eyewear industry in Quebec and the entire country.
Éric Savard
Dr. Éric Savard opened his first office in Charlevoix in 2001. Ten years later in 2011, La Vue was formed, and today, the young Quebec-based company has clinics in Charlevoix, Saguenay, Quebec City, Montreal, and now throughout Ontario as well. Dr. Savard has always wanted to operate in urban centers while maintaining a presence in remote areas to offer quality products at affordable prices to as many people as possible. Since its creation, the La Vue group made it its mission to change the face of optical products in Quebec by offering cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service. The La Vue stores have an impressive frame collection, which is constantly changing according to the seasons and trends.
Éric Savard, the young optometrist from Petite-Rivière-St-François, always intended to grow his commercial success in other provinces, which is shown by his recent partnership with Laurier Optical. The extensive La Vue family is headed up by a man who has his finger on the pulse of the eyewear industry. His priority is to offer unrivalled service and premium products at the right price. The clinics have been designed to give customers a comprehensive purchasing experience rather than just a routine medical visit. The eyewear world is changing, and Dr. Éric Savard plans to leave his mark on it.
