L'ALT Numérique Desjardins (L'ALT) is an organization that fosters the growth and development of an innovative and inclusive ecosystem in the La Matanie RCM. The funding was announced today by Rémi Massé, Member of Parliament for Avignon–La Mitis–Matane–Matapédia and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. Incorporated in May 2017, L'ALT is a non-profit organization dedicated to the incubation of businesses in the emerging technologies and digital imaging sector. Its mission is to contribute to the emergence of digital sector businesses by providing an adequate, suitable and stimulating location where innovative startups can carry out their projects and ensure their growth.
Communities need to build on innovation to strategically diversify and develop sustainable regional competitive advantages. Supporting community transition and diversification is therefore a Government of Canada priority.
"By supporting L'ALT, the Government of Canada is reaffirming its commitment to support the creation of businesses that innovate, create value and strengthen a promising sector for the La Matanie RCM, namely the digital sector.
