ST. GEORGE, ON, Nov. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - A partnership between Kraft Canada and the Tim Horton Children's Foundation has fueled thousands of economically disadvantaged children to discover their best while at camp.
As one of the largest consumer packaged food and beverage companies in the country, Kraft Canada is committed to giving back to the communities where its employees live and work. The company's annual contributions to the Foundation's food program are significant and proper nutrition is critical to campers' physical and emotional growth, health and ability to learn. In addition to the generous product donations, Kraft Canada also supports a variety of fundraising events each year including the Foundation's golf tournaments and Black Tie gala.
As one of the organization's major partners, Kraft Canada has shown outstanding dedication and recently made an incremental five year commitment towards a campaign for new camp development. With the help of Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners, Foundation friends and corporate partners, like Kraft Canada, the Foundation will provide memorable and enriching camp experiences for more than 16,000 young people this year.
A Foundation camp experience is an opportunity for a child to gain valuable life skills in a nurturing environment. Participating in challenging activities during their time at camp inspires these children and youth to set personal goals and reach new heights. The campers receive encouragement from dedicated staff and in turn develop confidence in their abilities and learn to take pride in their accomplishments. Many of our campers return home as more caring, responsible and motivated individuals.
