BRANTFORD, ON, July 25, 2014 /CNW/ - Celebrating 30 plus years of success and growing! Koolatron Corporation, Canada's largest manufacturer of 12-volt coolers, moves to a new expanded manufacturing facility in Brantford. Koolatron's manufacturing, product development and warehousing facilities will now be housed at a newly purchased 70-thousand square foot site on 139 Copernicus Boulevard in Brantford, Ontario. At peak production Koolatron's new facility will employ up to 80 people. Manufacturing at the new location begins in August and will feature production of a wide range of 12V coolers and wine cellars.
"It's an important move for us because our business keeps expanding with new product lines and new global sales opportunities," says Koolatron president Arun Kulkarni.
Provincial and local dignitaries attended a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new facility. Koolatron's move is a positive one for Brantford's economy. Koolatron's ability to adapt to new market conditions and seek new sales opportunities highlights how Canadian manufacturers can thrive in the fast-changing global economy.
As part of its expansion, Koolatron has opened an on-site factory outlet store, which is open to the public Monday - Saturday.
