MISSISSAUGA, ON, Feb. 12, 2015 /CNW/ - BASF Canada kicked off the return of Knowledge Harvest, a five city event series for growers and retailers in Western Canada in Brandon, MB.
The Knowledge Harvest events, which will be held in Brandon; Calgary; Edmonton; Saskatoon and Moose Jaw throughout February, are designed to share new ideas and perspectives for running a successful farming operation.
"Digging In is the theme for Knowledge Harvest 2015, presenting a unique opportunity for participants to gain deeper insight for decisions they are making in their farming operation," said Ron Kehler, Business Director at BASF. The Knowledge Harvest events look at how innovative technologies are shaping the future of agricultural science and evaluates research from BASF as well as industry experts."
Participants in the events will gather information on how different stresses impact quality and yield in cereals and what role grower's decisions have in managing these stresses. They will learn how crop science advances are influencing emerging markets in their local region and discuss with industry leaders how cutting-edge technologies and innovative crop protection products are modernizing canola production.
Lanny McDonald, former Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Rockies and Calgary Flames hockey player, will share compelling stories on leadership and rising to meet challenges.
