Just in time for Mother's Day, a new survey reveals 80% of Canadian moms wish they had more time in a day
Linden Bay wine engages a "Blissologist" to offer tips and advice on how working women can escape the pressures of daily life with more "me time"
TORONTO, May 7, 2012 /CNW/ - May is the month for moms and as the big day draws near, Linden Bay wine conducted a nationwide survey to see how mothers were feeling about balancing work and home life. Over 2,000 working moms between the ages of 18-‐54 were polled and more than half feel the stress of trying to juggle their career and family commitments. The survey also revealed that over 80% of women wish they had more time in a day.
"Linden Bay wine is really about finding time to escape so we wanted to know how busy moms found time for themselves. Our survey revealed that moms are actually struggling to find that work/life balance so we thought Mother's Day would be the perfect opportunity to help them escape the pressures of daily life," said Andres Rios, Director of Marketing, Lifestyle Brands. "Beyond encouraging women to enjoy a few moments of relaxation with a glass of Linden Bay, we wanted to give them tips to help them find more time, and ideally, more bliss in their days. This is where the idea for a Blissologist came from."
To help deliver 'more bliss,' Linden Bay has partnered with psychotherapist and counselor Kimberly Moffit who will offer tips on how to solve the work-‐life dilemma through health and wellness, nutrition and recipes, and lifestyle choices.
"Part of my job is to help women find ways to increase happiness and overall fulfillment as well as be motivated and decrease stress and anxiety," said Moffit. "What I hope to accomplish with the Linden Bay community, is offer professional advice on the little things we can do for ourselves to help with the daily grind."
In keeping with the spirit of Mother's Day, one lucky mom will also be awarded the escape of a lifetime with Linden Bay's Slip Away Escape Facebook contest. The wine brand has set up an interactive contest that invites the community to nominate a mom who deserves the ultimate weekend escape at either Grail Springs Resort in Bancroft, Ontario or Rockwater Street Cove Resort in Halfmoon Bay. The winner will be announced on June 5.
