Jonathon Karelse Co-Founds Nature Pressed Juicery, Vancouver's First Customized, Cold-Pressed Juicery

VANCOUVER, June 14, 2018 /CNW/ - Nature Pressed Juicery (NPJ), the first fully-customized, organic cold-pressed juicery to open in the Vancouver area, has been launched by a group of local entrepreneurs, including Jonathon Karelse, co-founder of management consultancy firm, NorthFind Partners.

"Nature Pressed Juicery is an exciting venture started by a group of epicurean friends who have a passion for health and nutrition and who have a particular passion for how juice cleanses can provide health improvements such as higher energy and a clearer mind," Jonathon Karelse explains.

Cold-pressed juice processing is a growing segment of the detoxifying juice cleanse market, with analysts projecting it will post a growth rate of over 8 percent by 2021.

Juice cleanses as a group, Karelse adds, offer a host of health benefits, including protection against cardiovascular disease and some forms of cancer. It also helps rejuvenate skin. Additionally, the cold-pressed process extracts more juice, especially from leafy greens, than other types of juicers.

Nature Pressed Juicery intends to cold-press locally sourced, organic vegetables. Its team includes a registered dietician and a microbiologist, who work together to customize juice cleanses to the specific requirements of customers. The company will also be making single serving, off-the-shelf juices available online and through area retailers.

In addition to Nature Pressed Juicery, Jonathon Karelse is a director and partner of Mariner Brewing Company, a popular craft brewery. Both Nature Pressed Juicery and Mariner Brewing are based in the city of Port Coquitlam, B.C., outside Vancouver. He also is a member of the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
