TORONTO, July 18, 2018 /CNW/ - Actor and pop culture icon Jonathan Goldsmith – aka "the most interesting man in the world" – is back and all the more "interesting" now that he's championing the award-winning Astral Tequila. Goldsmith, also a partner in the brand, will charm fans, both old and new, at an Astral Tequila tasting at the Summerhill LCBO in Toronto - 12:30-2 pm, Saturday, July 21st.
An accomplished film and television actor, Goldsmith became a meme celebrity as a result of his decade-long run as "the most interesting man in the world" - one of the most celebrated advertising campaign characters in years. Goldsmith's new persona for Astral is showing the same promise.

Astral, founded by Master Sommelier Richard Betts, is a heritage spirit created using traditional methods reminiscent of the way tequila was made 150 years ago. It is derived from agaves, organically grown at high elevation, in the mountains of Jalisco, Mexico. The spirit is then twice distilled and bottled at a higher-than-normal 92 proof, resulting in an elegant and subtle flavour.
"We believe that Astral is light years beyond industrial tequila. It's crafted the way tequila used to be, before factory production and cost-cutting shortcuts," said Betts. "It expresses all that the land has to say."
