SHANGHAI, April 18, 2017 /CNW/ -- Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (JINERGY) announced that its ultra high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) modules have entered into mass production in the second Jinneng Technology Developer Forum (JDF 2017) hosted by JINERGY during SNEC 2017 PV Power Expo.
JINERGY's bifacial HJT module employs solar cells with conversion efficiency over 23%, featuring excellent performance in weak light, leading temperature coefficient of -0.28%/℃, and ultra-low degradation with N-type silicon wafer. Moreover, power generation of JINERGY'S HJT module is increased by 8%-20% in different application because of bifacial cell structure design. Compared with regular high-efficiency modules, power generated in 25 years could be increased by 20%, and power generation per unit area could be increased by more than 40%.
Ultra high-efficiency HJT module also demonstrates great potential in cost reduction. "Compared with other ultra high-efficiency solar cell, HJT solar cell is manufactured in less procedures. We hope to cut the cost through breakthrough of key technologies and mass production. Currently, mass production cost of HJT module is 0.7 USD/W and JINERGY aims to reduce the cost to under 0.4 USD/W within three years", said Dr. Liyou YANG, general manager of JINERGY.
JINERGY's ultra high-efficiency HJT solar cell and module manufacture base in Jinzhong, Shanxi Province will be formally put into production this year. After completion, the base will reach GW-level. JINERGY, part of Jinneng Group's clean energy business sector, has a manufacture base with annual output of 1.3GW high-efficiency solar cells and 1.2GW high-efficiency solar modules at present, and is committed to becoming one of the world's leading PV manufacturers and clean energy suppliers.
