Jägermeister Introduces Canadians to its Newly Designed Bottle
ICONIC BRAND SETS THE BAR HIGH WITH UPDATED BOTTLE FEATURES INCLUDING, MORE DEFINED SHAPE, BOLDER LOGO TYPE AND TALLER SIZE
TORONTO, Dec. 6, 2016 /CNW/ - Raising a glass to its supreme quality and singular heritage, Jägermeister has unveiled a new incarnation of its iconic green glass bottle, designed to be as unique and special as the spirit itself. The newly redesigned bottle features several updates to its previous design. The 750ml-sized bottle has a more defined shape with higher, squared-off shoulders. In addition, the iconic stag is reconfigured to appear in its natural environment. The logotype has also been emboldened with additional depth and dynamism through fine lines and new copy that provides consumers with more information on the process of creating the globally recognized spirit.
Adding further personalization to the bottle, the newly enhanced and ultra-premium cap bears the signature of the spirit's founder, Curt Mast, along with the year 1878, commemorating when his father, Wilhelm, created the company. The intricacy of the brand's recipe famously includes 56 ingredients, a detail that is boldly displayed on the front centre of the bottle's label.
"The updated design of the Jägermeister bottle serves as just one of the exciting new initiatives planned for the brand for the new year," said Peter D. Mielzynski Jr., President, Peter Mielzynski Agencies Limited. "Featuring a variety of subtle improvements each designed to convey the intricate details of Jägermeister's quality and heritage, we are excited to see how consumers across Canada receive the brand's new look and feel."
This is the fifth time the bottle has been redesigned over the course of the brand's over 80-year history. All bottles, from the 50ml miniature to the 1.75L size, will have a new look in the more than 100 countries around the globe where Jägermeister is enjoyed.
Editor's notes:
Pricing and availability for select sized bottles of Jägermeister vary depending on region.
The new bottle is currently being phased into stores in fall/winter 2016 and early 2017.
About Jägermeister:
Introduced 80 years ago, Jägermeister, German for "Master Hunter," is Germany's best-selling liqueur. Ranked 8th by Impact International's definitive Top 100 Premium Spirit Brands, this herbal liqueur is one of the most successful premium brands worldwide and available in 117 countries around the world. The iconic taste of Jägermeister is not left to chance but is due to decades of experience, a safely guarded secret recipe consisting of 56 natural herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits including star anise, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger roots, and 383 quality checks. The botanical ingredients are extracted in their raw, unprocessed form through a gentle, weeks-long process of cold maceration to create Jägermeister's base. The base, housed in more than 400 oak casks, then "breathes" for one full year, which is key to creating the complex and balanced flavor of Jägermeister's legendary taste profile. Jägermeister Liqueur is 35% Alc./Vol. and imported by Peter Mielzynski Agencies Ltd, Ontario, Canada.
