It's almost that time, Toronto! Sobeys Urban Fresh presents the Toronto Wine & Spirit Festival at Sugar Beach this Thursday June 19 - Saturday June 21, 2014!
TORONTO, June 18, 2014 /CNW/ - Now in our 6th successful year, Drink Inc. is proud to announce our next installment of the Toronto Wine & Spirit Festival presented by Sobeys Urban Fresh; now even bigger and better! In addition to an exciting new partnership with The Redpath Waterfront Festival, we've added a huge stage, where over 20 talented musicians and bands will rock the beach and keep you dancing all night (and day) long. With over 60 vendors participating, fantastic wine, spirit and beer sessions in our Wine & Spirit Schools, (not to mention the amazing weather we have in store) this is one weekend you do not want to miss!
Back by popular demand.... The Cocktail Cage Match! With not one, but two competitions happening live at the Wine & Spirit School. The Spirit category will take place on Thursday, June 19th and the Beer category on Saturday, June 21st, the final day of Toronto's favourite outdoor festival. Four of Toronto's most talented mixologists will compete head to head on each day, to create an original cocktail with their choice of secret ingredients which will only be revealed moments before they step into the ring. The judges? The audience. Who better to decide which cocktail will reign supreme?
Of course, we will have all of the amazing regular festivities that we are known for. The much loved Annual "Hogtown Smackdown' happening on Saturday, June 21st at 5pm. This event is not one to be missed! Defending champs, Sobeys Urban Fresh will compete against Rock Lobster Food, DelFico Catering and The Saucy Pierogi to create an original dish which features Toronto's favourite meat; bacon. Advance tickets are still available here for $21.50, or get yours at the door for $30 (cash only and subject to availability). Each ticket comes with 5 food/beverage vouchers… but don't worry, there will be more vouchers available for purchase at the festival too…. we know you'll need them.
