TORONTO, June 14, 2012 /CNW/ - The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce recognized and awarded Innovative Rehabilitation Consultants the "Celebrate Success - Saskatoon Achievement in Business Excellence Awards" as Business of the Year.
Founded in 1997, IRC is renowned in the Healthcare and Human resource field for their practice of early intervention when it comes to assisting individuals to return to the work force after an injury, illness or disability. This approach also benefits their employers, in reducing time loss, over time, and improving workplace wellness. "We are honored to have been recognized for this prestigious award from the Saskatoon Community where IRC's head office is located. IRC has grown extensively since our inception in 1997." Says Garry Derenoski, founder and president of IRC.
The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce has been recognizing local businesses through the SABEX awards for 16 years, beginning in 1996. There are three processes to the awards, submission of nomination, finalist awards, and finally the Celebrate Success awards banquet where of the 3 finalists in each category, the Business of the Year is awarded.
"It was a refreshing process, working on the application for Business of the Year. A lot of great memories and milestones for the company were brought to the forefront as we worked through the process. I'm very proud of IRC and their work in the community over the past 15 years and to be recognized by this award is incredible." Says Adelle Stewart, Quality Assurance Manager at IRC.
