Invitation to media - The Honourable Élisabeth Brière to highlight Government of Canada support for two Sherbrooke organizations to strengthen Quebec's defence industrial capacity

SHERBROOKE, QC, April 16, 2026  /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The media are invited to a press activity on Government of Canada investments aimed at strengthening industrial capacity and innovation among organizations working in defence supply chains.

On this occasion, the Honourable Élisabeth Brière, Member of Parliament for Sherbrooke, will showcase funding for the Centre de technologies avancées BRP and the Université de Sherbrooke, in order to support their integration and growth within national and international defence supply chains, as part of CED's Regional Defence Investment Initiative for Quebec (RDII).

These projects are part of the investments announced by the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for CED, on February 18, 2026.
