Invitation to media - Peter Schiefke to announce Government of Canada support for Saint-Lazare business affected by tariff situation

SAINT-LAZARE, QC, May 15, 2026 /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Government of Canada is taking action by supporting businesses as they diversify their markets in order to reduce risk, strengthen their economic resilience and consolidate their competitiveness to help them face tariff pressures.

It is in this context that Peter Schiefke, Member of Parliament for Vaudreuil, will announce CED funding, under the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI), for a business in the aerospace sector affected by U.S. tariffs on aluminum.

The announcement of this CED financial contribution will be made on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for CED.
